At Black Ops Rescue, we believe every pet deserves a loving home — and every veteran deserves a loyal companion. 🐾 Our mission is uniting veterans with shelter pets to create a lifelong bond of mutual hope and healing. Through these life-changing matches, both veterans and rescue pets find renewed hope and unconditional love. With the dedication of our volunteers and staff, we ensure every animal receives exceptional care and every veteran client finds the right partner for their next mission — a forever friendship. ❤️

At Black Ops Rescue, we believe that each and every one of us can make a difference — by adopting, donating, sponsoring, volunteering, fostering, or advocating for pets in need. Together, we can give more animals the chance to know love, safety, and a forever home.
In 2022, an average of 17.6 veterans committed suicide per day.

Multiple ongoing studies are revealing that certain symptoms of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) are alleviated by companion animals.
Owning a pet can lift your mood and help you feel less stressed. Pets can help people feel better by providing companionship, reducing loneliness and isolation, and giving unconditional love. All pet owners, including those who have PTSD, can experience these benefits.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity based in Arvada, Colorado, dedicated to pairing homeless pets with veterans in need — for the good of both the veteran and the pet. Our organization proudly serves veterans across the Colorado Front Range, from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, helping create lasting bonds of companionship, healing, and hope.
“If the goal was to help a veteran with severe PTSD get back into a better place…Mission Accomplished.”- Cary, Air Force veteran
